The Altenew Inspiration Challenge for July is weddings & the colors are shown below. Right away I reached for my Beautiful day stamp set. I am pretty sure it is my favorite stamp set right now. I love the sayings as well as the images. I decided to keep this card very simple with just one focal flower in the bottom corner. I thought this would be a great time to use my new Prima Confections watercolors for something other than to make a color chart. I watered them down quite a bit, but I really enjoyed working with them. Please scroll down to watch my video. If you need any of the supplies I used I have links for them below. Thanks for stopping by! Jil

Art Impressions Windows to the World with Distress Markers
Windows to the World
3:33 AM
New
My dads birthday was last week & this was his birthday card. I did the video of his card before I gave it to him, but it took me a few days to edit it & post it. It was a very easy card to make & took me just over an hour to make. I used my Tim Holtz Distress markers to color the image & it took about 15 minutes to color. I always enjoy making interactive cards. Thanks for stopping by! Jil

Summer Stampfest 2016 Haul
Stampfest
9:58 PM
New
Summer Stampfest was in Lakeland this year & we decided to go. We spent quite a few hours wandering around taking in what we could. I just got around to posting this video showing you some of the highlights of the show. I'll have some pictures below. Joey & I had a great time. I didn't buy too much, it was more about the people we spent time with. The stamping & scrap booking community is so genuine. Check out the links at the end. You can find everything but the Me & Carrie Lou Stamps. Thank you for stopping by! Jil
Here I am with Ted from Stampers Anonymous.
This is Emma Lou from Heartfelt Creations.
Dyan Reaveley was tons of fun to be around.
This is the tag that Ted made for me. The texture is out of this world.
I made this flower with the stamp I bought from Heartfelt Creations.

Altenew Congratulations Card With Watercolored Background
Peony Bouquet
3:57 AM
New
It's no secret that I love water coloring. I've been plying round with my Gansai Tambai watercolors that I got some time ago. I didn't love them at first, but they are growing on me. I really like some of the pre-mixed colors in the set. I made several cards for many different people using the same flower & background & I changed out the greeting. I waited to post this video until after I sent out the final cards. I like that it can be used for so many different occasions. The card I made in the video is a graduation card, but I also made a Thank You, Get Well, Thinking of You & an Anniversary card. I can think of a few other cards this would also work for. It is really easy to make. I chose to fussy cut everything, but you could make the whole process even easier with the die cuts.
