Lots of Hearts Challenge

Hello Ai fans!

It's week two of the Lots of Hearts Challenge on the Art Impressions Blog Be sure to check it out and enter a card for the chance to win some fabulous prizes.  This is a really easy challenge to enter.  Just think of how many different ways you can add hearts to a card! I chose to use the Nuts About You set because it had two different hearts in it.
The images were stamped onto Spetrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with My Favorite Things Extreme Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. They were then fussy cut leaving a small border around all of the images.
The background is created on a piece of Strathmore 140 Lb watercolor paper using the smooshing technique.  It's really simple.  Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Ages Mahogany Distress Ink cubes were pressed onto a piece of acetate and then spritzed with water.  The acetate was then smooshed onto the piece of watercolor paper and heat set  Another layer of color was added to get the droplets.  Then water was sprayed onto the paper with the Tim Holtz Distress Spritzer and left to sit for about thirty seconds before it was dried with a paper towel.  That created the white spots.  Once the piece was dry, BoBunny Silver Glitter Paste was applied through the SSS Falling Hearts Stencil with a Ranger palette knife and allowed to dry. It was then cut with the Oval Double Stitched Dies. The paper used is from the My Minds Eye Love Me 6" x 6" collection.  The second version of the card (below) is the same except it has Sugar BoBunny Glitter paste on the background and the lighter balloon.
Copic Markers Used:
Squirrel - E30, E31, E33, E35, RV10
Balloon - R14, R37, R89 or R21, R22, R24
Nuts - E23, E27, Tops E25, E29, Hearts, RV10, RV13

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!
