Altenew Video Challenge #6

Today is the last day to participate in the Video Challenge on the Altenew blog.  You can find the details here . I am in love with their stamps & they keep coming out with more new one's that are just stunning.  The May 2016 release was jaw dropping.

I am really cutting it close but the last few weeks have been crazy. At least I got this video edited & done in time.  My brother & his family got the whole family Disney passes & we can't stay away from the parks! I will have to post some pictures because we can get our pictures taken anywhere in the park & download them as part of our new passes.  You just won't see me posting any of our pictures from us at the water parks!  LOL!

The rose is the focal point on my card so I went with bold colors.  I used the re-inker flooding technique.  I just added a very generous amount of water to the image & dropped in some watered down re-inker.  It mostly stays in the lines because the image is embossed.  Then I just dabbed off any excess water.  It's a give & take process from there until the image looked right.  All of the images were that way.  I used the Cryogen white paper over watercolor paper & it doesn't even buckle a bit.  You can also use the Stampin' Up! sparkle paper. Have fun with this technique.  I sure did.

Crazy Cat Card

1:04 PM
I bet you thought I wasn't blogging again.  Nope!  I had minor surgery on my eye.  On that note, I have two eyes (who knew? lol!) So I am having another surgery next week.  I may be missing that week too.

I busted out my Crazy Cats to make a card for Erin.  She won my You Tube giveaway.  I was very happy when I picked her name as the winner of my contest because she is one of my first subscribers & she comments a whole lot on my video's.  On top of that she loves it when my cats get in the video's.  I had waited to create a card until I knew who won it so I could go to their channel & see what they like.  I knew right away what to make for Erin, something with cats. I had pinned a cat crazy project that I really loved on Pinterest quite some time ago so I went & found it.  You can check it out here A Vintage Journey .  My cat came out nothing like any of her cats because I didn't do as many layers & I have no where near the skill she does, but I like how it ended up.  I used the smooshing technique on the background.  I think it came out great.  I am going to make more of these cards for sure!
