Challenge Desktop Decor

Hello Ai fans!

It's week two of the Desktop Decor Challenge on the Art Impressions Blog.  Be sure to check it out and enter a card for the chance to win some fabulous prizes. We are featuring the New release.  There are great new stamp sets. I'm using the Never Too Old Laugh Lines set.  It's packed with great sentiments that are sure to make you chuckle.
The old lady image was stamped onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Amalgam and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. I also stamped her onto a scrap of the patterned paper and fussy cut her dress. I then ran my Memento Dual Tip Tuxedo Black Marker along the edges to hide any bad cutting before I attached it to my image with Ranger Multi Medium in matte.  Once the dress was dry I cut around the image leaving a very small white border.
This fun calendar is on a chalk board that I picked up at Dollar Tree. The main paper is a piece of Carta Bella 6" x 6" decorative paper that had the flower stand printed onto it.  It's edged with two pieces of the same paper pad that were cut with a scalloped border die from Lawn Fawn.  An extra awning was cut from the decorative paper and attached over the paper with foam tape.  I stamped the greeting with my Versamark Watermark inkpad and embossed it with the Nuvo Classic Silver embossing powder and cut it into a rectangle.  It's attached to a piece of decorative paper.  It's added to below the awning. I printed a tiny calendar from the internet and attached the pages using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.  I used a light tack adhesive to attach it to the paper so it can be removed next year.  The last thing I did was add the lady with foam tape so her hand is pointing to the calendar.
