Coloring with Distress Oxide Ink Pads

I made a beautiful tag with my Distress Oxide Inks using Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio & Wilted Violet.  I was sure to keep the colors light knowing I wanted to add my focal flowers over the image.  I had no idea if it was going to work, but I had to try.  I softened the edges with my Fossilized Amber Ink Pad using a foam pad.

My images were first stamped with gray ink.  I then colored them in using a mix of the Worn Lipstick & Wilted Violet Oxide Ink Pads as if they were watercolor.  I really like how the Cracked Pistachio ink came through from the background.  After everything was finished I used a Copic Multiliner to outline the image.  I needed a thicker pen, but it turned out great in all but one spot.  Isn't that how it always works out?

This video just shows how I painted the bottom flower.  I know I had footage of everything, but I have no idea where it all went.  i hope you enjoy seeing another way to use these fascinating inks.  Below you can find all of the supplies I used to create my card.  Compensated affiliate links used at no cost to you.
