Hello Ai fans!
We're celebrating the release of the new Mini TryFolds on the Ai blog this week. It started last week with the Door Opening Challenge. Be sure to visit this post and join the challenge for a chance to win some great prizes!
I stamped the three parts of the Produce Stamd MTF 4970 onto separate pieces of Strathmore Bristol paper with the Onyx Black Versafine ink Pad. I used the #4 brush with small amounts of water to add color with my Marvy LePlume II Markers. The colors are listed below. I scribbled the color onto my Watercolor Palette and picked it up with the brush. I added the color in light layers, building up the intensity as I went.
Once my images were colored, I cut the top layer with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Three. I cut the awning out with the included die. I added the colored piece to the card base that was all ready covered with papers from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad. I cut the area for the awning through the card and the patterned paper with my craft knife. I added a greeting from the WC Sentiments Set 4903 to a tag and put that on the front with a bow.
The second layer is very similar to the top layer. I used a smaller Spellbinders label from the same set to cut out my colored image. I used the die that is included with the stamps to cut out the opening. I attached it to the TryFold panel that I had attached the same patterned papers. Before i attached the image, I cut out the opening right behind where it was going to be on the colored image.
My last layer is the raccoon image. It is also on a Spellbinders label shape. I just lined it up behind the window from the previous layer and attached it over the patterned paper on the final layer of the card. I attached the stamped and cut out sentiment just below the image. I also used a black glaze pen to add some dimension to the raccoons eyes and nose.
