Animal Print Challenge

Hello Ai fans!

It's week two of the Animal Print Challenge on the Art Impressions Blog.  Be sure to check it out and enter a card for the chance to win some fabulous prizes. I used the Office Party Set to make a center easel card. I have to tell you that this challenge really made me step outside of my comfort zone.  I've never done anything with animal prints.  I had a blast looking into how to make these different patterns.  Don't be too surprised if you see me using some animal prints again!
The images were stamped onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with Rich Coco Memento Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. When I was looking for how to color animal prints I went to You Tube and Google.  I found the perfect video from Sandy Boone showing how she does several different prints on an Art Impressions image.  I had to try the Cheetah print using a Copic marker and a black Triplus Fineliner pen.  I would think that any Copic safe pen would work.  I used my black Copic marker to color the Leopard print over the Copic colored panels.  I looked up the patterns on google and just drew them in freehand.
The card is called a center easel card.  Just start with an A2 card and cut it in from the sides at 1 1/2" on each side up to the score line.  This forms the panels.  Score the middle at the center point at 2 1/8" to make the easel.  Attach each side to the card base. I then cut my layers to attach to each side. When you attach the center layer, be sure that you only attach adhesive to the bottom of the layer. The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight.  I attached it to the card with low profile foam squares to form a stopper.
