Birthday Card Challenge

Hello Ai fans!

It's week two of the Birthday Card Challenge on the Art Impressions Blog.  Be sure to check it out and enter a card for the chance to win some fabulous prizes. I used the Office Party Set for a surprise slider card.  The card sits flat, but when you pull the ribbon it reveals a hidden area for a message or even a gift card.
The images were stamped onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with Gina K Designs Black Amalgam Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. The entire image was colored before I used my R83 marker to color in the entire background.  I then used my blender marker to color circles over top of the background.  I didn't make dots, they were circles.  Once I added them to the entire background, I added another layer of circles where I hadn't added them before.  I was going for a bright look.  You could make it more subtle with a lighter base color.
I used a die from Spellbinders to cut out the Slider Surprise card portion.  It was their large die of the month for June and it is no longer available.  I am sorry about that.  Many other companies offer the die.  I showed how to make this card without a die HERE.  I used the Happy Birthday Girl 6" x 6" patterned paper from Echo Park on this card.
