Tropical Treat Challenge

Hello Ai fans!

It's week two of the Tropical Treat Challenge on the Art Impressions blog. Be sure to enter for a chance to win some stamps. I used the Floral Wreath stamp set to make a water colored card.  I tried to make them look like hibiscus flowers by making them pink.
I placed the image on my stamp platform. All of the wreath is colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I colored the pink flowers with 725 Rhodamine Red and stamped it onto a piece of Canson XL 140 Lb. watercolor paper.  I then colored the leaves with 098 Avocado and added some 528 Navy Blue to the round leaves.  I then stamped it again.  I used the stamp platform so I can keep stamping the wreath into the exact same place while using different colors. I used my #4 brush to pull the color from alongside the lines to fill in my images with color.  I then scribbled the markers onto a stamp palette and added it to the areas that needed to be darker.  The last thing I did was pull some color out from the lines onto the background.
I stamped the greeting onto the bottom of the card with a Versafine Watermark ink pad and sprinkled it with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I shook the excess powder back into the jar and heat set the greeting. I used a Pilot medium tip gold marker to edge the watercolor layer. It is attached to the card with foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!
